Circa Waves - 30th March 2017 - Birmingham O2 Institute

Circa Waves stormed back to the UK and it was well overdue. It's a huge difference from when they previously came to Birmingham, going from the Hare & Hounds to headlining the O2 Institute.

However first up is The Magic Gang and InHeaven. Fantastic support bands are becoming more and more common and this evening didn't change that for a second. With both acts having amazing energy and sound, it won't be long until they're out on tour.

By the time Circa Waves hit the stage, the crowd are almost at a frenzy. And as 'Wake Up' begins, the sold out show kicked off in a way that made it feel like a festival closing set.

The energy didn't let up for a second as the four piece tore Birmingham apart. This band is a different creature to the one that toured 4 years ago. With more finesse, but at the same time a more primal sound, made it even more so impressive.

With banter with the crowd, telling them when to mosh along, it felt like a connection. A connection that didn't let up at all and proved why this entire UK tour is sold out.
