The Monthly Fix - February

I can't believe we're already in the second month of 2019, it's crazy! And what a month January was, a whole madness of shows to kick start the year. But February isn't just my birthday month, it's also chock-fulla-gigs. So hold onto your hats and have a read as who's kicking down the doors to your local gig venues.

Towards the start of the hallowed second month, keep your eyes peeled for the boys who Never Miss a Beat. That's right, hot off the announcement of a mega support slot for The Who at Wembley, the Kaiser Chiefs are bumping around the UK. Hitting up Birmingham on the 2nd (that's this Saturday), but kicking off on the 1st in Manchester, they've got plenty of dates around the UK all the way up to the 20th! You've also got the chance to catch one of the insanely best lit and staged shows Enter Shikari have ever toured. They're finishing off their current leg with a handful of dates from the 1st to the 4th.

Feeling something a bit heavier however? Good, so are we. Personally my main recommendation for 02/19 is the mighty Behemoth (he types listening to 'O Father, O Satan, O Sun!'). With a cracking lineup of shows, starting in Bristol on the 6th running with some dates sprinkled in before finishing in Manchester on the 9th, these kings of Death Metal are bringing 'I Loved You At Your Darkest' to our stages and goddamn we can't wait. Sadly the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, has had to postpone his UK dates this month, which means an even longer wait until we get to see both him and the epic Judas Priest. But if it's classic rock/metal you're after, don't forget that the Blue Oyster Cult are gracing our shores.

But StereoRiot, I hear you say, what about the second half of the month? Fear not my music craving children. Ask and you shall receive. The ever-growing and expectation blowing Twenty-One Pilots are back to their touring antics, starting their UK dates in Birmingham on the 27th of Feb (and yes carrying on into March, but we're still classing it as part of this month!). Not only that, but Pop Evil are also polishing up the end of the month for us, with a string of dates promoting their latest album.

But we haven't even scratched the surface of February here, merely plucked some of our upcoming highlights out to tease you into braving the chill in the air. Keep an eye on the website, our Facebook and Twitter for gig highlights local to you.
