Hey there all - Jack here.
Not sure I've ever really introduced myself, but in short, I'm the owner of this here weird little website, the man behind the keys for most of the emails that have gone out, and the whiskies that have been drunk.
StereoRiot has been mainly a one man admin team since birth, with some great team members contributing content and such throughtout its conception.
However that all comes to a grinding halt when the person at the top doesn't function. About 18 months ago, I was hit with some pretty shitty health issues. Thankfully, I've had some great healthcare (up the NHS baby) but I'm still on said recovery path and still fighting new issues.
But - and in many thanks to counselling - I'm finding some energy to focus on the loves in life. Mainly music and content creation (writing, shooting, managing a website, etc).
So what does that mean for StereoRiot? Well it means a few things. I'm kicking off again with the summer gigs, there are some reviews coming up (Hives, Hollywood Vampires, Hoizer - only covering acts starting with H?!) and possibly may ramp into some album reviews again. But if you're reading this and want to write for SR again, or just join the team full stop, please reach out!
And of course, Birmingham Cocktail Weekend on the horizon, which will be the first feature of "Brum Tum". This will be a side project of StereoRiot/myself where we will focus on Birmingham food and drink. It's just a seedling now, but hopefully with some time, this will be a passion project.
And last note. If something seems wrong, go to a doctor. Don't put it off, even if it's just a dried up bit of chocolate, they won't care. Get yaself seens.
